GST Council Scheduled to Convene on June 22

New Delhi, June 13 : The GST Council, chaired by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, is scheduled to convene on June 22. “The 53rd meeting of the GST Council will be held on June 22, 2024, in New Delhi,” announced the GST Council Secretariat on X. The agenda for the meeting has not yet been circulated among the Council members. This will be the first Council meeting following the Lok Sabha elections. The election results were announced on June 4, and Sitharaman took oath as a Cabinet minister in the new Modi Government on June 9. The 52nd meeting of the GST Council, which includes finance ministers from all states and Union Territories, took place on October 7, 2023.
