NSS Unit of Govt P. G. College Rajouri under the patronage of Prof. Dr Shakeel Ahmed Raina, Principal of the College organised an online guest lecture on “Health and Nutrition” in order to celebrate Rashtriya Poshan Maah (September 2021) under Poshan Abhiyan, with an aim to generate awareness and to promote the nutrition status among the masses.
Dr Tariq Ahmad Ganaie, Assistant Professor, Department of Food and Technology, IUST Awantipora was resource person on the occasion.The speaker stressed for the importance of nutritional values of food and how it reduces the risk of chronic diseases leading to overall health and well-being.Dr Naseem Malik, NSS Programme Officer Boys wing, welcomed the guests and conducted the proceedings of the program. Dr Ashaq Malik, Secretary Science Club, Govt. P. G.College Rajouri, also highlighted the importance of traditional food values.
