Kathua: In response to the collapse of the Logate Morh, NHW Bridge, which has disrupted traffic on the National Highway, DIG Jammu Range, Shiv Kumar Sharma IPS, conducted a joint inspection and review of the situation today. The inspection was carried out in the presence of SSP Kathua, Shobit Saxena IPS, SSP Traffic Rural, Girdhari Lal JKPS, Commandant IRP 18th, Atul Sharma JKPS, and other senior officers.
The DIG Jammu Range inspected the Logate Morh Bridge and identified alternative routes to restore traffic on the Jammu-Kathua Road.A coordination meeting was held with NHAI officers, DC Kathua, SSP Kathua, Commandant CRPF Kathua, SSP Traffic Rural, SDRF officers, SDPOs, SHOs, DTI Traffic, and other stakeholders to streamline traffic on the Jammu-Pathankot Highway. All officers were directed to activate their control rooms and field staff to ensure better coordination and facilitation of the general public on the Jammu-Kathua Road. The primary objective of the inspection and meeting was to restore traffic on the NHW and facilitate the smooth movement of tourists, patients, ambulances, and essential services. The authorities are working to minimize disruptions and ensure public safety. The directions of DGP JK, Nalin Prabhat IPS, and IGP Jammu Zone, Bhim Sen Tuti IPS, have been instrumental in ensuring a coordinated response to the situation. The officers were directed to work together to restore traffic and incidentally restore normalcy on the Jammu-Kathua Road.
