New Delhi : AAP MP Raghav Chadha, returning from the UK after undergoing eye surgery, visited Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal’s residence amid ongoing speculations about his prolonged absence.
Chadha’s trip to the UK was prompted by a serious eye ailment that had the potential to cause blindness, as per a statement by his AAP colleague and Delhi Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj on May 2.
His return coincides with the controversy surrounding AAP’s Rajya Sabha colleague Swati Maliwal, who accused Kejriwal’s PA Bibhav Kumar of assaulting her. However, a purported video emerged, showing Maliwal allegedly threatening police officials and verbally abusing Kejriwal’s PA.
Kumar was subsequently arrested by the Delhi Police following confirmation of bruises on Maliwal’s leg and cheeks in the MLC report.
Chadha, also a Rajya Sabha MP from the AAP, has yet to make any statement regarding the Maliwal incident, leading to questions about his silence amidst the controversy.
