Delhi Government to Implement Supreme Court’s Guidelines in Finalizing Odd-Even Scheme Details, Announces Gopal Rai

New Delhi, November 7 : Delhi’s Environment Minister, Gopal Rai, has revealed that the forthcoming implementation of the odd-even car rationing scheme will take into account the Supreme Court’s directives related to pollution. The scheme is set to be enforced in the national capital from November 13 to 20.

The Supreme Court, during a hearing on Tuesday addressing air pollution issues in Delhi-NCR, highlighted concerns such as crop residue burning, vehicular pollution, and open waste burning.

Rai stated that he conducted a meeting with senior officials from the transport and environment departments and the traffic police to discuss the operational details of the odd-even scheme. The government intends to thoroughly review the Supreme Court’s order and incorporate its suggestions and directions into the planning process.
