Vijaypur: Senior leader of Aam Aadmi Party and former minister Yashpal Kundal has strongly condemned the police assault on former minister and senior politician of Jammu and Kashmir Mr. Harsh Dev Singh in Udhampur and demanded strict action against the guilty police officers. Kundal said that Harshdev has been a three-time MLA, he has served Jammu and Kashmir. If he was protesting in a peaceful manner, then such action by the police is condemnable. Terming the incident as an open attack on the peaceful protest led by former minister Harsh Dev Singh, who was caught on camera, Kundal said that this is the worst police behavior and murderous attack on a senior leader and three-time MLA. This culture is the result of the BJP rule in the world’s largest democracy. Kundal demanded Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police Dilbag Singh to conduct an immediate inquiry into the matter and ensure strict action against the guilty police personnel. Kundal said that the police should not try to establish their rule in the Union Territory, this is a worrying situation for democracy.
