Grievances of students studying in Govt. Polytechnic Reasi regarding Examinations

Due to the Corona Lockdown, the students of Government Polytechnic College Reasi are facing a lot of problems as JKSBOTE(Jammu Kashmir State Board Of Technical Education) is not conducting exams of intermediate semesters at the time. Because of this, the future of these students is at stake. One year of students is going to be wasted, if JKSBOTE does not schedule their exams immediately or do not provide relaxation to the students as given by AICTE (All India Council For Technical Education). Some of the issues keeping in view the guidelines issued by AICTE & UGC regarding Examination of Intermediate semesters in Corona Pandemic time are as follows:
1) University Grants Commission(UGC) has issued guidelines on 07 July 2020 and said that Examination is mandatory for the students who have a backlog. Such students must be compulsorily evaluated by conducting examinations in offline(Pen & Paper), online or blended(Online+Offline) mode.
2) But if these type of exams are not possible, students can be promoted on the basis of their internal assessment if they are regular students, otherwise they will be given marks on the basis of their performance in other passed subjects.
3) UGC guidelines also says that the students who are able to give exams can give in first phase by following SOPs but those who cannot give exams now due to any inconvenience can give exams in the second phase after the situation gets normal. Keeping in view all the above points, it is requested to Secretary JKSBOTE to conduct exams for the students of Govt. Polytechnic Colleges by using required SOPs.
