Reasi: Today a plantation drive was launched by Advocate Pawan Dev Singh, Chairman Friends of Civil Society Trust in collaboration with DFO Reasi Ms. Jyotsana Sarkar, IFS. On the occasion, Range Officer Katra, Sh. Koushal Singh, B.O. Bhaga Sh. Madan Lal, Arvind Bargotra as well as Sarpanch and Panches of the area were present. The DFO Reasi focussed upon the need to plant more trees, protect and conserve the environment so as to increase the green cover. Apart from the plantation drive at Bhaga, the plantation drive was also initiated at Bawa Dhansar, SDM Office Complex Katra, Municipality Office, Katra and Sub Division PHE office, Katra. The DFO, Reasi gave commitment to plant 1 lakh saplings under the plantation drive in Reasi Forest Division. Mr. Pawan Dev Singh thanked the DFO, Reasi and her team for taking out their valuable time for carrying the plantation drive despite the rainy weather.
