JKPCC President Shri Tariq Hameed led a high level team of Senior Congress leaders to the cloudburst devastated Chasoti – Paddar area of Kishtwar district today and demanded a special central package for adequate relief and rehabilitation of the affected people.
Accompanied by Working President Shri Raman Bhalla, veteran leader Sheikh Haider,Former minister G. M Saroori,Former Legislators Naresh Gupta & Sham Lal Bhagat, DCC President Asif Naqeeb, Pyare Lal Shan, Sheikh Zaffarullah, Sheikh Irshad,Firdous, Chief Media Coordinator Neeraj Gupta, Sanjeev Panda, Jatin Raina, Javed Lone, Naveed Kichloo, Rangil Singh- Block president Padder,
Firdous Mingnoo, Noor Hussain Lone, Ravi Shaan, Anas Munshi , Nayar Amin, Navin Kichloo, Dr Junaid, Sheikh Irshad , Shafiq ahmed & others, Shri Karra visited the devastated area and interacted the people and local population apart from local administration.
He shared the pain and sufferings and concern of the people lauded the local population and volunteers for working shoulder to shoulder in the rescue and relief measures and extending all possible help and aid to the victims.
Expressing grave shock and concern over the magnitude of the tragedy, jkpcc Chief said that only a special central package for providing adequate relief and rehabilitation is needed.He demanded thatGOI should work out with UT administration on war footing for the proper relief and rehabilitation of the affected people.
The team also assessed the ongoing rescue and relief being undertaken and lauded the spirit of service and humanity amongst all those engaged in this task.
Shri Karra and team shall further hold interactions with the population toll tomorrow and listen to their concerns over lot of allied issues for infrastructure facilities and government initiatives fulfill their needs of living and development.
Karra directed all cadres especially youths provide all sorts assistance to the affected people in coordination and Cooperation with the administration and rescue teams.
