Corporator Ritu Choudhary Inaugurations Reverse Vending Machine for Managing of Plastic Waste at ward no. 07.

JAMMU: Tuesday 19 Jan 2021 : Ritu Choudhary Corporator Jammu Municipal Corporation inaugurated Reverse Vending Machine for Managing of Plastic Waste along with Mrs. Tinna Mahajan Secretary JMC, Executive Engineer Mohit Mahajan , Residency Road Traders Association President Pooja Kapoor at Shaheedi Chowk in ward no. 07.

Informing the General Public about the Reverse Vending Machine, Corporator Ritu Choudhary said that a reverse vending machine is a device/machine that accepts used (empty) beverage containers, plastic bottles and inturn returns money to the individual. She further said that Jammu Municipal Corporation is making regular efforts to tackle the problem against plastic waste under which various drives are being conducted to reduce plastic waste. She further informed that at many locations more such reverse vending machines have been installed to battle the war against plastic waste.

Ritu Choudhary appealing the general public said the problem of plastic waste can only be solved by the cooperation of the public and for this, Corporator ward 07 requested the public to avoid using one time use plastic and instead use reuseable products.
