COVID-19: JK’s death toll surpasses 1100 mark

Twenty one more COVID-19 positive persons died during the past 24 hours, taking the number of fatalities in J&K to 1105 while Friday witnessed 1218 fresh cases, taking the total infection count to 69,832, officials said.
As per the government, the fresh casualties include 11 from Jammu division and 10 from Kashmir division.
With the fresh casualties, the death toll due to novel coronavirus has soared to 1105 in Jammu Kashmir, which include 811 from Kashmir and 294 from Jammu.
So far, Srinagar has reported 281 deaths, Baramulla 121, Budgam 80, Pulwama 67, Kupwara 65, Anantnag 62, Kulgam 43, Bandipora 34, Shopian 31, and Ganderbal 27.
In Jammu division, Jammu district has reported 159 deaths, Rajouri 30, Doda 25, Kathua 20, Samba 19, Udhampur 12, Poonch 10, Ramban eight, Kishtwar six, and five from Reasi.
On Friday, J&K reported 1218 fresh coronavirus cases, which include 642 from Jammu and 576 from Kashmir division, pushing the total infection tally to 69,832.
The government said of the total 15,13,224 test results available, 14,43,392 returned negative and 68,832 positive which include 19,170 active positive cases while 49,557 have recovered and been discharged including 1478 persons discharged during the past 24 hours.
It said, so far, 5,61,149 persons had been put under observation including 14,482 in home quarantine and 19,170 in isolation while 48,586 people are under home surveillance and 4,77,640 persons have completed their surveillance period.
In Kashmir, Srinagar has a total of 14,024 cases, Budgam 4656, Baramulla 4169, Pulwama 3759, Anantnag 3416, Kupwara 3377,
Bandipora 3300, Ganderbal 2793,
Kulgam 2229, and Shopian 1995.
In Jammu division, Jammu district has a total of 11,387 cases, Rajouri 2401, Udhampur 2048, Doda 2019,
Kathua 1893, Samba and Poonch 1606 each, Ramban 1257, Kishtwar 1052, and Reasi 845.
