JAMMU, JULY 25: Amid Coronavirus, all the horse-cart drivers are facing real challenges of survival. Since March, lockdown is being held which has affected all occupational people. But among all the sections, there are people who earn their daily living and due to COVID-19, there is no work left for them.
Each horse-cart driver steps out of his home thinking that today he’ll earn his living better than yesterday. But it’s been 10-15 days almost that they have not got any work and not even a single penny.
Neither they are able to feed themselves nor their animals. This is the most difficult time for them. When EARLY POST reporters went to them for sharing their problems, they burst out with tears. And told the reporters, “NO WORK is left with us. We just come daily at our places with the hope to get work but all our hopes are getting vanished now as daily when we are facing challenges of unemployment. We can manage a day or two without food but how will our animals live. We are driven by great fear which even don’t let us sleep.”
They shared that they have got some ration from the side of PM Narender Modi as per scheme but how will they manage other expenses like fees of their children, fodder food for their animals and many expenses of daily need.
Now the question coming from their side is, “What is our higher authorities planning to do to support these daily livelihood earning people?” They are hoping everyday to get help from Government of India, MODI SARKAR.
