34,602 people have recovered so far from COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.
This is the highest number of recovered cases in a single day since the outbreak of the Pandemic in India.
With the recovered cases of Covid-19 crossing the 8 lakh mark and reaching 8,17,209, the recovery rate has improved by 63.45% in the country.
The Government said highest number of 49 thousand 310 new cases of have been reported in the country in the last 24 hours taking the total number of cases to 12,87,945.
In the present scenario, the total number of active corona cases in the country is 4,40,135.
In just one day, 740 deaths have also been reported taking the nationwide toll to 30,601.
However, the case fatality rate is continuously decreasing in the country reaching 2.37%.
Moreover, Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said that a total of 3,52,801 tests of corona virus samples were conducted by various laboratories within 24 hours.
1,54,28,170 tests have been conducted so far. ICMR is continuously pacing up testing facilities in the country.
Presently, a total of 1,290 laboratories in the country are conducting Covid-19 tests that include 897 government laboratories and 393 private laboratory chains.
AIR correspondent reports that in terms of recovery rate of covid-19 cases, Delhi is at the peak position with 85.63% followed by Ladakh, Telangana, Haryana, Gujarat and Assam where, the recovery rate is above 71%.
17 States and Union Territories have better recovery rates than the national average of 63.45%.
Maharashtra leads the tally in terms of number of people recovered from Covid-19, followed by Tamil Nadu, Delhi and Telangana.
There are 30 States and Union Territories which have lower fatality rate than the national average of fatality rate 2.37 per cent.
In the total active cases, 67.83% cases are from Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh respectively.
