Jammu-Srinagar highway closed for traffic due to landslide

The 270-km-long Srinagar-Jammu National Highway, the only all weather road connecting Kashmir valley with the rest of the country, was closed yet again on Wednesday due to fresh landslides and shooting stones.

In view of the blockade, over 1000 vehicles were stranded at various places enroute the highway.

The men and machines of BRO are working to clear the highway to make it trafficable.
