JKPCC Chief Tariq Hameed Karra and other senior leaders have expressed shock over loss of lives in the cloudburst incident that struck the janglote area of Kathua district today and urged for urgent relief, rescue & rehabilitation measures on war footing.
The tragedy resulted in the loss of seven lives, with many others sustaining injuries.
Karra alongwith senior party leaders Shri Raman Bhalla, Ch Lal Singh, Th Balwan Singh Chief Spokesperson Ravinder Sharma, Former minister Dr Manohar Lal Sharma Ex Legislator Th Balbir Singh I/C HQ Ved Mahajan and DCC President Pankaj Dogra have shared the condolences of the grieved families affected by this heart-wrenching disaster & underscored the need for a coordinated response.
Shri Karra has taken immediate action in response to the tragedy by urging the government to mobilize necessary resources, which include men and machinery, to assist in the relief efforts. He emphasized the importance of providing all necessary medical aid to the injured, highlighting the critical need for a swift and efficient response to meet the emergencies arising from the disaster.
Shri Karra contacted Congress party leaders in Kathua without delay & instructed them to engage actively in the ongoing relief and rescue operations, urging them to lend any help and assistance possible.
