Security Forces Initiate Search Operation Following Suspicious Activity Near LoC in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch Region

JAMMU, August 26th – Security forces initiated a search operation in a densely wooded region after identifying unusual movements near the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district, Jammu and Kashmir, according to officials.

The joint operation, conducted by the army and police, was launched in the Buflaiz sector’s Chamrer and Gangna Top areas at approximately 6 am. Authorities reported that upon detecting suspicious activity, search teams in the Chamrer forest area fired several rounds as a precautionary measure. However, there was no response from the other side.

Reinforcements have been swiftly dispatched to the region to facilitate a comprehensive and thorough search operation, officials stated.
