Demand immediate release of leaders of Yuva Rajput Sabha
Jammu Aug 25: J&K National Panthers Party held a strong protest demonstration at Jammu under the leadership of Vilakshan Singh President J&K National Panthers Party. The activists of JKNPP raised slogans against the dictatorial attitude of the UT administration. While addressing the media persons, Vilakshan Singh said that BJP government at the centre and UT administration in J&K is meting out step motherly treatment to Jammu and when the people of Jammu raise their voice against the dictatorship of the UT administration, the latter uses undemocratic means to curb their genuine voice. Singh said that BJP has forcibly imposed property tax on the residents of UT and in order to further harass the residents, the government came up with arbitrary installation of smart meters. Singh said that a lot of complaints are being received day in and day out regarding the accuracy of the readings taken by the smart meters. Even then the administration has failed to redress the said issue. Singh said that the people are feeling alienated in the present regime. He said that the Yuva Rajput Sabha raised a very important issue of illegal collection of fees at Sarore Toll plaza. But the administration instead of stopping the illegal collection of fees at Sarore Toll plaza, detained the leaders of Yuva Rajput Sabha. Singh described the said act of the government as most condemnable. Singh questioned when the road from Kathua to Jammu is in dilapidated condition, where arises the question of collection of toll fee for the use of said road? Singh applauded Yuva Rajput Sabha for their dedication to the cause of Dogras. Singh said that it was the efforts of the Yuva Rajput Sabha that the holiday was declared on the birthday of Maharaja Hari Singh. Panthers while raising slogans against the UT Administration demanded the immediate release of leaders of Yuva Rajput Sabha and immediate removal of Sarore Toll Plaza. Panthers also announced support to Jammu Bandh call given by the Chamber of Commerce. He appealed to the residents of Jammu to make the Jammu Bandh successful to give a strong message to the administration that the people are not ready to tolerate the dictatorship of the government.
