Devise fool-proof mechanism for timely completion of ongoing tourism projects: Sham Langer

JAMMU, JUN 12: Sham Lal Langer, Convener Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Trade Cell Jammu and Kashmir while welcoming the heavy footfall of visitors at the Jambu Zoo has urged the J&K Union Territory Administration to complete all the ongoing tourism related projects in Jammu region as these will give a huge boost to the tourism and economy of this region.
In a statement issued to media here today, the senior BJP leader said that the heavy foot fall of visitors in a few days after the inauguration of Jambu Zoo is ample indication of this destination becoming a big tourist puller boosting the economy in the coming time. He said that now there is a dire need to complete the ongoing tourism projects of Jammu Province as these will augment the Tourism sector of J&K besides giving an economic thrust and last but not the least creating multiple employment/job avenues for the unemployed J&K youth.
Sham Langer appealed to the Government to take immediate steps to make Jammu an independent tourist destination so that over five lakh souls dependent on tourism, whose livelihood is at stake heave a sigh of relief and the number of people related to tourism sector in J&K multiplies very soon.
While further welcoming the information that Artificial Lake Jammu’s civil works will be completed by Oct-Nov, he said that this destination too will be a big tourist puller in Jammu region after its completion. He said that the work on the Tawi River View Front on the pattern of Sabarmati River Front of Gujarat should also be completed within the shortest period of time.
The senior BJP leader asserted that these speedy developments indicate the Govt’s commitment towards unprecedented development in J&K especially the Jammu region that was discriminated and neglected during the past over seven decades. He suggested devising a fool-proof mechanism for timely completion of the ongoing tourism related projects in Jammu region so that equal employment avenues get created for unemployed youth of Jammu region like Kashmir province.
