J&K Cop Arrested for Hitting Police Officer in Anantnag

A constable has been arrested for injuring a Station House Officer (SHO) in Anantnag, Jammu and Kashmir. The incident occurred on Sunday evening when the SHO, identified as Majid Ahmad Khan, was on duty near the Bijbehara police station.

Authorities reported that the selection-grade constable, Khurshid Ahmad Wani, struck SHO Khan’s vehicle while overspeeding. The police confirmed that the arrest took place on Monday in South Kashmir.

Khurshid Ahmad Wani, the son of Mohd Abdullah Wani, is a resident of Bindoo in Kokernag. Officials stated that Wani drove his vehicle, registration number JK16A-3739, recklessly, which led to the collision.
