Why govt has soft corner for Kashmiri Pandits? Our blood is also red, give 1 Cr and a job to Deepu’s family: Rajesh Gupta to LG 

Jammu: National Democratic Party Indian (NDPI) J&K UT Chief Rajesh Gupta on Wednesday strongly condemned the target killing in South Kashmir and expressed his heartfelt condolences to the members of bereaved family. Gupta questions why govt has soft corner for Kashmiri Pandits? Our blood flows in our veins is also red. He demanded an ex-gratia amount of One Crore and a govt job for kith and kins of target killing victim Deepu who hails from Udhampur District of Jammu and Kashmir UT. 

Deepu, who was shot dead by terrorists in Anantnag district of South Kashmir on Monday evening, was the sole breadwinner in his family, said Gupta. He further said, Deepu, who was working in a circus, is survived by his father – who is visually impaired – and his sibling who too has had eyesight issues for the last four years.

NDPI leader said earlier also target killing happened in Kashmir Valley and most of  Kashmiri Pandits were killed and LG Manoj Sinha himself visited to the homes of victim’s family and gave them appointment letter and an ex- gratia relief cheque of Rs 1 crore to each victim. Now why the discrimination with Jammu man. We are not against the Kashmiri Pandits but we Jammuites will not tolerate injustice with Deepu. 

NDPI president urged LG Manoj Sinha to announce the Rs One Crore amount and one job for Deepu’s siblings at the earliest and don’t do the discrimination with Jammu, Gupta, added.
