The falling of the electric pole could have caused serious injury to someone or someone could have died. The labourers or the people in the residential area could have got hurt. The development work always lags behind in our city but when it starts, there’s always some inconvenience caused to the locals. “The work started without properly analysing and interrogating the land. They should have first checked the electric poles standing here. The tilling work also began, that initially caused cracks but no one notified it to the respective authorities. They continued with their work.”, A local from the area said.
Moreover, the officials of the PDD department said that if they were informed about the work, they would have safely shifted the electric poles. UED did not even sent a notice regarding the work. “There are certain protocols that need to be followed.”, an official said.
