Sat Sharma Exposes Opportunist Politics of Congress and NC
BJP leader Sat Sharma criticizes Congress and NC for their opportunist politics, claiming they have hampered J&K’s development. He underscores the achievements of PM Modi’s government.

Bandipora, Jammu & Kashmir—On September 30, BJP’s J&K President Sat Sharma (CA) launched an attack on the Congress, National Conference (NC), and PDP, denouncing them for their opportunist politics that have impeded the development of the region and the nation. At the inauguration of the Namo Exhibition in Gulshan Chowk, Bandipora, Sharma condemned the INDI alliance for its consistent betrayal of the people of Jammu & Kashmir.
Joined by J&K BJP General Secretary Anwar Khan, Secretary Arif Raja, District President Bandipora Mudassir Farooq Jan, and other senior leaders, Sharma positioned the BJP as a beacon of hope against decades of political malpractice. He referenced how these dynastic parties, for prolonged periods, thrived on nepotism and corruption, which has left the youth of J&K with shattered aspirations.
“For decades, Congress, NC, and PDP ensured that Jammu & Kashmir remained stagnant while they indulged in the spoils of power,” Sharma said during his address. He highlighted the detrimental effects of their politics on local development, arguing that they have pushed the region into darkness, depriving its citizens of essential opportunities.
Sharma contrasted this bleak picture with the progress achieved under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. He claimed that since 2014, the current government has ushered in a new era marked by integrity, transparency, and accountability. “Prime Minister Modi has transformed the face of India and Jammu & Kashmir through unprecedented development initiatives,” said Sharma, listing infrastructure growth, economic reforms, social justice, and empowerment for marginalized communities as key successes of the Modi administration.
Highlighting the stark differences between the false promises of the INDI alliance and the tangible results delivered by Modi’s governance, Sharma asserted, “The results are visible to every citizen today.” He elaborated that the core vision behind the Modi government is to create a ‘New India’ that is inclusive and progressive.
Anwar Khan echoed Sharma’s sentiments, stating that the Namo Exhibition serves as a mirror reflecting the milestones of Modi’s life, symbolizing sacrifice and visionary leadership. He criticized the INDI alliance for embodying betrayal and corruption, contrasting their legacy with the BJP’s commitment to develop J&K.
Adding to this narrative, Mudassir Farooq Jan expressed pride in the global recognition India and J&K have received under Modi’s leadership. He promised that the BJP will take these achievements to the masses on a mission-level, ensuring that the electorate understands the true nature of the progress imparted by the centralized government.
The statements from Sharma and his colleagues come at a crucial juncture, as Jammu & Kashmir gears up for upcoming political challenges amidst rising public expectations. The BJP aims to capitalize on the dissatisfaction with opposition parties while galvanizing support through its accomplishments.
