March 12: Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar was discharged from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi, on Wednesday after making a satisfactory recovery, according to an official statement from the premier hospital.
Dhankhar had been admitted to AIIMS on March 9 due to cardiac-related ailments. A team of top medical experts provided him with necessary care and closely monitored his condition throughout his stay at the hospital.
“After receiving necessary care from the medical team at AIIMS, he made a satisfactory recovery and was discharged on March 12,” the statement from AIIMS-Delhi read.
The Vice-President has been advised to take adequate rest over the next few days as part of his post-recovery protocol.
Dhankhar’s hospitalization had drawn widespread attention, with political leaders and well-wishers extending their prayers and support for his swift recovery. Following his discharge, sources close to the Vice-President assured that he is in stable condition and will resume his official duties after the prescribed period of rest.
