Jammu : Today on 06.11.2024, All India National Fencing Championship 2024-25 was held at Sports Complex Jammu University, Jammu, Organized by Director Sports Dr. Daud Iqbal Baba, where Sh. Shiv Kumar Sharma-IPS DIG JSK Range was invited as a Special Guest.
The Program Started with the Lightning of Candles and Sportsmanship Oath taking Ceremony in which Proff. Meena Sharma, Proff. Komal Nayyar and Coaches from Sports Authority of India (SAI),
Insp. Rashid of J&K Police and International Fencing Coach were also present on the occasion.
More than 1400 Students (Men and Women ) from various States/UTs like Punjab, Haryana, UP, Uttrakhand, Delhi, Chandigarh, Sikkim, MP, Manipal etc were participated in the programme.
On the Occassion DIG JSK Range Sh. Shiv Kumar Sharma-IPS appreciated the efforts of Director Sports Dr. Daud Iqbal Baba for organizing such a big program for the welfare of the youth in Jammu University.
On this Occassion DIG JSK Range addressed the Youth on Various present burning issues like Health & Fitness, awareness about bad effects of the drugs, Women safety, Stress Mangement. Role of Parents, Teachers and Society in Nation building.
DIG JSK Range also motivated youth for joining Belt Force (Police, Army, Other Paramilatry forces etc) and being a part of sports, it helps them to join the same.
He also said that youth is the future of the country and by joining sports we can save our future from Bad company and negative approach. Students/Youth must take more and more part in sports and be a part to make the Country Strong and Proud.
