Police in Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla declare 8 terror handlers as proclaimed offenders

Jammu and Kashmir : In Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir, a court has proclaimed eight militant handlers based in Pakistan as offenders. These individuals, including Mohammad Azad, Naseer Ahmad, Kareem Din, Mohammad Hafeez Mir, Meer Ahmad, Bashir Ahmed, Showkat Ahmed Paswal, and Ahad Bhat, have been evading authorities for years. Notices were affixed to their residences by law enforcement officers. The Court of Sub Judge Uri made this declaration based on an application by the Baramulla Police, citing multiple cases registered against them. These handlers, believed to be operating with various terrorist groups from Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK), have been directed by the court to appear before the law within a month. Failure to comply may result in the initiation of property attachment proceedings under Section 88 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC).
