GDC Dharmari organized Farewell for outgoing Staff and Students: Pledged Against Drugs and To Protect the Environment by Planting More Trees.

Jammu : The staff members and students of Government Degree College, Dharmari had organized farwell function for the outgoing Academic Arrangement Staff and Senior students of the college with colourful cultural Program. The function started with the opening ceremony and welcome of the staff and students followed by the colourful cultural Program and games prepared by the junior students. Later, various titles were given to the senior students by the juniors where Ms. Priya Thakur and Mr. Nasir Mir were judged as Ms. Farewell And Mr. Farewell Whereas Mr. Sajad Qasim was judjed as ‘Student of Year’. The Principal of the college, Dr. Preetpal Kour while speaking on the ocassion wished the academic arrangement staff members and senior students for their bright future ahead and also urged them to work hard to achieve higher goals in the present time of competitiveness. She also urged the students and staff to remain committed towards their duties and to work for the welfare and betterment of society as responsible citizens especially against Anti-drug campaign knowen as ‘Nasha Mukht Bharat’. Later the outgoing students and staff members also shared their experiences during their stay in the college.
At the end, all the students and staff members have taken the pledge not to consume any narcotics and psychotropic substance and also pledged to aware the society about their negative effects. Further, they also pledged to plant atleast one tree on the ocassion of upcoming World Enviornment Day on 5th June. The whole Program was organized under the supervision of College Cultural Committee. Other staff members present on the ocassion includes Dr. Shabeer Ahmed Taing, Dr. Saleem Ahmed, Prof. Ajay Kumar, Prof. Balbir Kumar, Prof. Mohinder Kumar, Prof. Balwinder, Prof. Samiti, Prof. Tinu Bala and Manzoor Hussain.
