J&K: Bus Plunges Into Deep Gorge in Akhnoor, Leaving 7 Dead and 28 Injured

Jammu, May 30: A devastating accident occurred this afternoon in Jammu district, claiming the lives of at least seven passengers and leaving 28 others injured. The accident involved a bus carrying pilgrims, which rolled down into a deep gorge in the Chungi Marh area of Akhnoor.

According to officials, the bus veered off the road near Chungi Morh on the Jammu-Poonch highway, resulting in the tragic loss of seven lives and injuries to 28 others. The injured have been rushed to the sub-district hospital in Akhnoor, with critically injured individuals being referred to GMC Jammu for further treatment.

Authorities are in the process of identifying the deceased and injured individuals, while the police have initiated an investigation into the incident to determine the cause.
