ASN School holds Guru Vandana Chhatra Abhinandan Programme

JAMMU, April 30: The Management of A.S.N. Hr. Sec. School, Channi Himmat, Jammu in Collaboration with Bharat Vikas Parishad (Shivalik Branch, Channi Himmat) Jammu today conducted “Guru Bandana Chhatra Abhinandan Program” inside the school auditorium to enhance the student teacher relation in order to improve the education system and to inculcate moral values amongst the students. The function started with lightening of traditional lamp, garlanding of mother India followed by “Vandey- Matram”. Mr. Ritesh Kapoor, Administrator of the School highlighted the importance of such programmes inside the school. He said today in the era of change, everybody is moving away from his social responsibilities and not only adopting the western culture but also forgetting our own cultural heritage. He added that Moral values empower an individual to perform better with human intentions, motives, acts, and relationships with other individuals. Moral values form the basis of all religious practices. A student’s life is a cycle of challenges and changes. As a child grows, he or she imbibes a lot of lessons and moral values. While some may get forgotten, some stick till the rest of life. Therefore, it is highly essential to inculcate moral values in students’ lives as their hands lie in the future. Students with ethical values become responsible and accountable people, while those spoiled become a threat to the society or culture.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. H.C.Vaid, President Shivalik Branch, Bharat Vikas Parishad presents the importance of Guru Vandana as per Gurukuls in the history and gave the symbolic representations of the same. He said celebrating Teachers day in the schools is basically to show the real contribution of teachers in making the life and future of the students. He added that every Parent takes pride in his or her kid’s good moral character. Most Indian families follow strict instructions to imbibe ethical values. They highlight the importance of moral values and teach them at an early age.

Various resource persons who spoke on the occasion are Mr. Ashok Gupta, Vice President State Body, Mr. Ashok Khajuria, Secretary Branch, Mr. Rakesh Sharma- Treasurer Shivalik Branch and Mr. Rajnish Gupta, Joint Secretary of Shivalik Branch. More than 200 students & around 20 teachers of the school attended this programme. Various students were also awarded for their outstanding performance in the school during the programme by members of Bhrat Vikas Parishad.

Ranvijay Singh & Pratibha of 11th Class, Samar Pikhan & Bhumika of 10th Class, Rekha & Piyush of 9th Class, Manik Pratap Singh & Arizoo of 8th Class, Arvind Kumar & Poonam of 7th Class, Zoya & Arnav of 6th Class, Aksa Khan & Muzavir of 5th Class, Radhika & Gandivay Singh Charak of 4th Class, Rashi Arya & Qutub-du-din of 3rd Class, Aryan & Piyush of 2nd Class, Shailja & Sanidhya of 1st Class, Aarvi & Rehan of U.K.G. Class, Taskeen, Tridham Pratap Singh & Divyansh of L.K.G. Class, Aadhira & Divam of Nursery Class were felicitated on the occasion of Guru Vandana Chhatra Abhinandan Programme. The teachers felicitated the children are Suresh Sharma, Pankaj Jasrotia, Ruby Kumari, Sukhvinder Kour, Bhupinder Kour, Subha Gupta, Ankush Chib, Shashi Kesar, Sakshi Pikhan, Heena Slathia, Manpreet Kour, Muskan Singh, Usha Mattoo & Kusum Lata. The programme closed with National anthem followed by the vote of thanks presented by the Mrs. Pankaj Jasrotia- Sr. Teacher of the School while the programme proceedings were conducted by Teacher of the school Ms. Subha Gupta.
