Jammu April 23rd 2024: Dr. Sunil Gupta-IPS, DIG Jammu-Samba- Kathua, Range paid a surprise visit to Police Station R.S.Pura and conducted casual inspection of the Police Station.
He inspected the MHC Room, Malkhana and Hawalat. He also checked Mahila Desk Register, Cyber Register, NCR Register, Tyohar Register, NDPS Register, Land dispute Register etc., and found most of the above record well maintained. The premises and surrounding area of Police Station also found clean but requires more cleanliness and also required enhancing of lightning system in and around the Police Station.
During the inspection, he instructed SP Hqrs. Jammu, SDPO R.S.Pura and SHO R.S.Pura to maintain extra vigil in their area of responsibility in view of Loksabha Elections.
He directed the SDPO/SHO/MHC for redressal of public grievances in a time bound manner and special focus be given towards female complainants. Complaints of females should be dealt by women staff of Police Station. He also directed them to paint the boundary walls of the Police Station with Anti Drugs Slogans.
Special attention be given to the NDPS/Road Accident/Land dispute cases etc.
He also directed all officers to ascertain the backward/forward linkages in all under investigation NDPS cases. They shall prepare the lists of Drug addicts, Drug Paddlers, Smugglers and Kingpins. The properties of Drug paddlers, smugglers and kingpins be identified and seized under relevant section of law, besides, demolition of immovable properties. They shall also update the History sheets and made fresh entries/Mobile nos. etc. The beat officers shall keep close surveillance over the gangsters/bailed out criminals to prevent any crime in future.
The Vehicles seized under operation Avtar are required to be arranged in proper manner.
He also imparted necessary directions to SHO/Officers/officials of Police Station R.S.Pura for strengthening of Beat system of Police Station.
