Jammu, 27 Nov : A grand farewell function organised by Sh. Ganesh Khajuria ji U.T Chairman JKTF and Central Executive Body of the FORUM in favour of the stalwart Trade Union Leader S.Surat Singh Toofani, Headmaster and Sr. Vice President JKTF, at Hotel Jammu Darbar.
The function was graced by the benign presence of Sh. Ashok Kumar Sharma, worthy Director School Education , Jammu and a galaxy of Officers of School Education Department including Ms. Mamta Sharma, Deputy Director Planning, Sh.Suraj Singh Rathore, Jt. Secretary JKBOSE, Sh. Jagdeep Padha, Chief Education Officer Jammu, Sh. T. S. Blowria, DEPO Jammu and a number of Headmasters of different Institutions.
In his more than thirty four years of Teaching profession Mr. Toofani rendered his services at different Government Institutions and remained outstanding teacher throughout his service. Moreover, as a Trade Union leader, he also touched new heights and set a benchmark for the generations to come. He never raised any questions mark on the decisions taken by the Chairman Sh. Ganesh Khajuria ji and actively participated in the movements for the welfare of the Teaching Community and remained in different Jails of Jammu and Kashmir for fighting in favour of different demands of Government employees and to give them their du& legitimate rights.
Surat Singh Toofani is always known for his boldness to take decisions and for his knowledge and suggestions in the tough times to handle the different situations.
All the speakers highlighted the achievements of S.Surat Singh Toofani as a teacher and as a Trade Union leader. All the participants appreciated his brotherly relationships with all teaching community and said he is a Secular leader in real sense.
Sh. Ashok Kumar Sharma, worthy Director School Education , Jammu also appreciated the services of Surat Singh Toofani and appealed the gathering to follow the footsteps of such honest dedicated and hardworking Teacher and to do the justice with the students of poor and downtrodden families and highlighted the theory of Karma. He said the Almighty will definitely pay for your good deeds if you give your hundred percent at your workplace. Director School Education, Jammu wished a happy and healthy Post-retirement life to Toofani ji and appealed to keep the good works on.
Sh. Ganesh Khajuria ji, in his address appreciated the dedication and honest working of the stalwart leader and said the vaccum created with his retirement can’t be filled. The Chairman prayed to the Almighty for his healthy and prosperous Post-retirement life and appealed the retiring personality to continue his services as a Trade Union leader and to continue his support to the Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum.
Sh. Suraj Singh Rathore, Jt. Secretary JKBOSE, Sh. Jagdeep Padha, CEO Jammu and Mohd Shafi Rather also showered their blessings on the retiring personality.
S. Surat Singh Toofani in his address shared his experiences as a teacher and as a Trade Union leader. He said he always worked with the philosophy of giving 100% in Classroom and never paid any heed to his own children to whom Almighty have taught in their Classrooms and I got my rewards in the form of well educated and sincere children.
The proceedings of the function were performed by the District President Jammu Bharat Bhushan Sharma in a very disciplined and effectively way.
