Jammu : On the theme “My Constitution, My Pride”, Department of Political Science and NCC Boys Cadets of Govt Degree College R. S. Pura under the aegis of IQAC organized One-Day awareness seminar under the patronship of Principal Dr Rajni and supervision of Dr. Rakesh Choudhary HOD today on 20 th November 2023. The awareness seminar was centred on Right to Education. It was attended by 50 students of the college. The resource person for the seminar was Prof Neelam Kumari Assistant Professor in Education of the college. The resource person started with the constitutional perspective on the right on education and highlight the how this right has evolved in the Indian society. She emphasized on the universal education available and embarked on the constitutional duty of every parent or guardian for providing free and compulsory education between 6 to 14 years to every child or ward as the case may be. She also emphasized on the constitutional values and raised awareness on the Constitution of India.Also. She embarked upon the bottlenecks and challenges to meet the fundamental right to Education. The seminar
concluded with the vote of thanks by Dr Shaveta Chowdhary. The was also attended by other faculty members namely Dr. Rajesh Sharma, Prof Sankait Gupta, Prof Vishal Sharma, Dr Rakesh Kalotra and Ms Nisha Bhagat of the College.
