J&K Police Offers Rs 10 Lakh Reward for Information on Recent Targeted Militant Attacks

SRINAGAR, November 7: The Jammu and Kashmir Police has declared a reward of Rs 10 lakh for each for anyone providing credible information regarding the three recent targeted attacks by militants in the valley, resulting in the killing of a police officer and a non-local laborer.

In an official notice, the police has offered a Rs 10 lakh reward for valuable information concerning the terrorist attacks that occurred on three consecutive days starting from October 30.

The series of attacks began when Police Inspector Masroor Ali Wani was critically injured on October 29 when a lone terrorist shot at him while he was playing cricket in the Eidgah playground in Srinagar.

The following day, a non-local laborer named Mukesh Kumar was tragically shot dead in the Trumchi Nowpora area of Pulwama. A day later, Head Constable Ghulam Mohammad lost his life when he was shot outside his residence in the Wailoo Kralpora area of Baramulla.

The police notice emphasizes that individuals with information about the attacker, their associates, helpers, or those harboring the attacker can share this information with trusted police officers, including SSP Baramulla, SSP Srinagar, or SSP Pulwama.

Information can also be emailed directly to J-K DGP R R Swain at rswainips@jkpolice.Gov.In.

The notice assures that the identities of individuals providing credible information will be kept strictly confidential, and the informant will be provided with legal and security protection.
