All J&K Christian Sabha and Diocese of Jammu-Srinagar initiated -Jammu Half Marathon Run Against drug Abuse “J&K Youth Against drugs” from M. A. Stadium

Jammu On 2 nd October 2023 : All J&K Christian Sabha and Diocese of Jammu-Srinagar, in collaboratio with Directorate of Jammu Tourism and J&K Sports Council With Media Partner Sach News Network J&K is proud to announce the “Marathon Run Against Drug Abuse with Slogan “J&K Youth against drugs” a significant event aimed at raising awareness and combating drug abuse in our community.
The Marathon Run Against Drug Abuse is not just a race; it’s a united effort to tackle a growing issue that affects individuals and families across Jammu and Kashmir. The event seeks to bring attention to the devastating consequences of drug abuse while promoting a healthy and drug-free lifestyle through physical activity and community engagement.
Chief Guest Speaker. Rajinder Sharma, Mayor Jammu flag the Marathon and expressed enthusiasm for the event, saying, “The Marathon Run Against Drug Abuse represents a community coming together to address a pressing issue that affects us all. By participating in this event, individuals are not only supporting a healthier lifestyle but also sending a powerful message against drug abuse.” Ms. Shaheen Wahid, SP South also motivated the youth to stay away from bad habits and urge civil society to join hand to fight together with this issue ,Ms.Anissa Nabi (KAS), Jnb. Mohd. Hanief (KAS), Jnb.
Abdul Jabbar (KAS) also participated to grace the occasion, Civil society leaders Rev. Vijay Kumar (Presbyter CNI), Rev. Fr. Varkey, Mr. R. K. Kalsotra, Mr. Ranjit Singh, Mr. Jaspal Singh, Mr. Happy Sharma, Mr. Gagandeep Singh, Mohd. Ajmal Sahab, and other community leaders, and individuals were encouraged to get involved by sponsoring the event, volunteering, or participating in the run to demonstrate their commitment to a drug-free community.
Organizers of Marathon Mr. Ashu Peter Mattoo (President All J&K Christian Sabha) and Rev. Fr. Jafat Masih (Director Youth Commission, Diocese of Jammu-Srinagar) encouraged the participants and distributed gratitude Certificates to the sponsors :- Vivanta Jammu City Center, Neelam Jewellers, Talla Jewellers, K. C. Residency, Pizza Burst, Gandhi Nagar Grace Youth, DOM, Bhagat Singh Brigade,Gagandeep Singh and Mehak Kohli also extended special thanks to all the influencers and Celebrity guests who boasted the morale of the participants runner by joining with them in race.
