ARMY CELEBRATED NATIONAL TEACHER’S DAY WITH STUDENTS AT KUPWARA

Kupwara 05 Sep: In order to commemorate the unparalleled efforts of teachers in shaping the society, multiple events were organised by the Indian Army’s Kupwara Terriers at Boys Higher Secondary School Trehgam & Army Goodwill School Wayne Kupwara on 05 Sep 23.

At AGS Wayne the event started with the parade by NCC students followed by speeches by the students highlighting the the history and significance of the teachers day. Lessons learnt from the life of Dr. Radhakrishnan were shared with the students by the Principal and Army officers attending the function. A cultural show was also performed by the students of AGS Wayne to mark this special Day.

In another event National Teacher’s day was celebrated at BHSS Trehgam Hirri where students, staff and Army officers from Indian Army’s Kupwara Terriers witnessed the show. This event was attended by over 200 students including boys and girls. 

The term teacher in India is more than a term of professional identification. The emotions attached with a teacher are very profound ones. Gurus (teachers) play a pivotal role in shaping the beliefs of their disciples.

This tradition is present even today in all parts of the Nation. In India, Teacher’s Day is celebrated on 5th September on the birth Anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan

The entire programme was lauded by the students and the teachers of the school. Each teacher shared their touching moments with their Gurus when they were students. 

The programme came to its end with a motivational note from the Indian Army.
