In order to pay tribute to the bravery, courage and valour of Police Martyrs, District Police Reasi under the aegis of MERI MAATI-MERA DESH with key components “MITTI KO NAMAN, VEERON KA VANDAN” inaugurated “Police Martyrs Park” at DPL Reasi.
Sh Mohd Suleman Choudhary IPS DIG Udhampur-Reasi Range accompanied by Sh. Amit Gupta SSP Reasi inaugurated the “Police Martyrs Park” in presence of families of Martyrs, veterans of police alongwith Master Popsy Addl. SP Reasi, Neeraj Padyar DYSP Hqrs. Reasi, Insp. Vijay Sharma SHO P/S Reasi and Officers/Officials of Reasi Police also attended the function at martyr park DPL Reasi. DIG U-R Range along with all officer and family members of martyrs took *PANCH PRAN PLEDGE* at Police martyr Park.
Speaking on the occasion DIG U-R Udhampur said that our martyrs without caring for their lives fought till their last breath for peace of J&K and added that they gave supreme sacrifices of their lives while protecting and safeguarding the nation. Nation and J&K Police is indebted to the Supreme sacrifice made by the Martyrs in the line of duty and upholding the national flag high.
Sh. Suleman Choudhary further expressed that by this initiative of the Government “MERI MAATI-MERA DESH” the youth would learn about the Supreme sacrifices of the Martyrs. Not only it will nurture a feeling of nationalism among the citizens but also immortalize the Martyrs, who will be remembered by their names.DIG U-R range told the gathering that Jammu and Kashmir Police is proud Police force of the nation which is contributing day in and day out in the maintenance of peace and harmony in the UT of J&K.
Proud Family members of Police Martyrs of District Reasi participated in the function to remember the sacrifice of their family members for the integrity of the Nation. They were seen in pride & tears for the Martyrs while laying wreaths over heap of flowers offered at ’martyr Gallery ’ in the Police Martyrs Park.
At the end of the function, a token of love and affection in the form of gifts were handed over to the family members of Martyrs by the Officers.
Later on DIG U-R range along with SSP Reasi / team of officers interacted with each family of the Martyrs listened to their grievances and issues, on spot directions were passed to redress the issues and also familiarized them about the schemes, which have been launched by the Government of India for the welfare of NoK’s of Martyrs.
