INDIAN ARMY CONDUCTED CO-ORDINATING CONFERENCE FOR SELECTION TRIALS FOR KUPWARA WOMEN CRICKETER’S TOUR TO PUNE AT PATHAHIRRI KUPWARA

Kupwara 10 Aug : In its continuous efforts to empower and  boost the spirit of sports among women  of Kupwara and provide them a platform to expose their talent, Indian Army’s Kupwara Terriers held a coordinating conference  with the shortlisted  women cricketers of Kupwara at Pathahirri on 10 Aug 23.

Kupwara women cricketers are   scheduled to visit Pune Maharashtra where they will play matches with Maharashtra Women cricket team and will interact with national and international cricket players there. The aim of this visit is to Empower the young girls and give them an opportunity to come up and showcase their talent. This tour will enable the young girls  to feel free and  to refresh their minds.  This is the first time in Kupwara   when such kind of opportunities have been provided by Indian Army to the girls of Kupwara to prove themselves in the field of sports. This tour will showcase a upgraded version of cricketing  skills and will open avenues for girls of Kupwara to choose Cricket as career in times to come.

Indian Army is committed to   engage and uplift the  women  of Kupwara and empower them to become Physicaly Strong and excel in games and sports.
