Kupwara: In consonance with prestigious Kargil Vijay Diwas, an inter school extempore competition was organised for the students of various age groups and schools across Lolab to increase the awarness about bravery and sacrifice of the Indian Army in safeguarding our nation and also to build cohesive bond between Army and the youth.
A total of over 300 students and teachers of various schools and age groups participated in the event. The event commenced with the National Anthem followed by Coy Cdr giving a brief talk on the kargil war, its causes of the conflict, various battles fought, the bravery of the Indian Army and the glorious victory of our nation in it. A total of 05 prizes were distributed to students in various age groups based on their participation and performance.
The event culminated with group photographs and happy and cheerful faces of the students.
The students, teachers and local populace were extremely thankful to the Indian Army for such initiative as a positive picture of developmental activities in Kashmir was brought forward to the students and motivated the students to add in the development of Naya Kashmir.
