Reasi : Drive against bovines smuggling in District Reasi continues, teams of District Police Reasi laid special nakas, In drive against bovine smugglers in two different incidents, arrested 03 bovine smugglers while rescuing 32 bovines being illegally carried by them.
Team of Police Station laid a surprise naka at Goroban Sarsote Teh Chassana during checking, intercepted two persons namely Abdul Rshid S/O Gulzar Ahmed cast Kashmiri lohar and Manzoor Ahmed S/O Abdual Rashid cast kashmiri both R/O Malikote Tehsil Chassana District Reasi and rescued 18 bovines from his possession
In this regards a case FIR No. 34/2023 U/S 188 IPC has been registered at Police Station Chassana and investigation initiated.
In another incident On the same spot Team of Police Station Chassana during surprise naka checking foiled bovines smuggling attempt intercepted a person namely Shams Din S/O Gulam Mohd R/O Malikote is arrested and one person namely Manzoor Ahmed S/O Mohd yousf cast Gujjar fled away, who is going towards Kashmir along with 14 Bovines animals, during enquiries DM permission was not found. In this regards, a case FIR No. 35/2023 U/S 188 IPC has been registered at Police Station Mahore and investigation initiated.
SSP Reasi Sh. Amit Gupta – JKPS while sharing the details said that Reasi Police is leaving no stone unturned to eradicate the menace of Bovine Smuggling which is prerequisite to establish peace and tranquility in the region.
