Handwara, May 27: An annual Road Race was organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports Zone Handwara from Kulangam Chowk to GHSS Boys Handwara wherein 30 government, as well as private schools of Zone Handwara , took part with a participation of around 300 in the age group of U-14 ,U-17 years , U-19 Boys.
All the participants were full of enthusiasm. Convenor monitoring/Publicity committee by Farooq Ah Yatoo with his tireless efforts made the event a grand event.
DDC Rajwar Mir Sulaiman,District Youth Service Sports Officer Zahoor Ah Wani along others distributed medals among the winners at the concluding function along with the Principal GBHSS Handwara, GGHSS Handwara and othere
The race was flagged off By DYSO Kupwara Zahoor Ahmad ,SHO Handwara Shabir Ahamad, Town Commander Handwara, ZPEO Farooq Ah Yatoo and other officials of the department.
The race was started at 07:30 am and it was ended 09:00 am at Govt Boys Higher Secondary School Handwara.
