BLSKS PRESENTS 361 TH MUSICAL PLAY “ NASHE CHA BACHO” AT GGHS TOPH SHERKHANIA


Jammu ,May 26 th 2023: To continuation the Nasha Mukat Bharat Abhiyan , Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan, in coordination with Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment , Government of India, Social Welfare Deptt. J&K Govt. and Sangam Tru Art Production , mounts three days special campaign & presented its 361 th Friday Series Dogri Musical Play “NASHE CHA BACHO ” at Govt. Girls high School, Top Sherkhania, Jammu on today under the overall Direction of Dr.M.L.Dogra.

A pledge was also taken by more than 200 students and teachers which was recited by Mr. M.C.Kotwal and the certificate honored by the Ministry of Social Justice was felicitated to the Principal of the Host School. The programe was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Mrs.Rita Rani , Headmaster, Govt. Girls high School, Top Sherkhania, Jammu.

Among the Guest of Honors present on the occasion were Smt. Veena Raina, Sunita Gupta, Senior Teachers of the host school . The day commemorated as well with sole aim of rejuvenating the traditional , Primitive Folk, Art, Culture of J&K Region. The Specially items prepared on the theme “Nasha Nai karna Man lo Kehna Payare Bhai Bhena ” , “Swatch Bharat Ho ”, “Bhala Sipya Dogria ”, “Kali Mata Bawe – Bajan ” , “Savdhan Savdhan ae Bhaart vasi Savdhan”, “ Dum-e- Dum mast kalander”, Nukkad, Skits , Songs and Dances were presented to aware the masses.
The Chief Guest Mrs. Rani appreciated the efforts of Bhartiya lok sangeet kala sansthan for drug addiction program for students and said in his speech the Nasha Mukat Bharat Abhiyan was launched by Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment which is the Nodal Ministry for Drug Demand Reduction has formulated and it was launched Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan on 15th August 2020, in 272 Districts across 32 State/Union Territories identified as most vulnerable in terms of usage of drugs in the country. These vulnerable districts were identified on the basis of findings from the Comprehensive National Survey and the inputs provided by the Narcotics Control Bureau and also said the yoga help to aware about addiction of drugs & Yoga is a well-known term these days, it is called a spiritual discipline that is based on a subtle science that aims at attaining harmony between body and mind. This is also referred to as science and art for achieving healthy
living. The derivation of the word yoga is considered from the Sanskrit word Yuj. The meaning of Yuj is to join or yoke is to unite.Yoga is safe and is practiced even by kids and older people. There is no use of hard equipment, but only movements of the body for the
extension. Yoga gives relaxation to not only the mind but also flexibility to the body.

The efforts of the organizers in making such awareness programmes colorful and effective The artists of BLSks presented theme based songs which were written by Dr.M.L.Dogra
& the music was the composed by Mr.Raju Bajgal, Music Instructor, Blsks. Yoga class was also organized before the cultural programe for benefits of the students & staff. The program was also recorded & uploaded online on Social Media for benefit of the peoples.
Welcome speech was given by Dr. M.L.Dogra, Chairman, Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan said drugs withdrawal symptoms are a combination of physical and mental side effects a person experiences while trying to either stop or reduce the use of the
substance they have been using or are addicted to. These are usually unpleasant experiences which make it difficult to reduce or quit the substance. Some of the common withdrawal symptoms are nausea, vomiting, restlessness, tremors, disturbance in mood (irritability, depression, anxiety), lack of sleep, body pains, craving for the substance, running nose etc. Dr. Dogra also highlighted the need and importance of yoga in education also follows from the fact that it helps in improving concentration and attention span. With yoga helping to improve memory function, its direct impact can also be seen in the child’s academic performance. Yoga is a generic term for physical, mental and spiritual disciplines, originated from ancient India.

It is a spiritual and ascetic discipline including breath control, simple meditation and adoption of specific body postures, practiced for health and relaxation. Yoga offers flexibility to the body and relaxation to the mind. There are different asanas practised by people, and each asana has its benefits on the mind and body. Yoga is designed to sharpen our minds and to improve our intelligence.
Regular practice of yoga can help in controlling our emotions and promote well- being. This BLSks campaign main motive is to make our J&K UT, Drugs free. The singers, musician and actors who performed were Usha Raina, M.C.kotwal, Raju Bajgal, Rajni Gupta , Chahat Chadha, Bindia Okheda ,Sanjeev Kumar Sodhi , Vandana Gupta , Rahul Kumar. Mr. Deepak Kumar Dogra, Programe Incharge, presented vote of thanks for successful conduction of the program.
