Rotary club Jammu in Collaboration with Shankus Medicity Jammu organized a camp
on women health and cancer awareness in Govt College of women Bhagwati Nagar Jammu.
About 150 girls students and staff of the college has attended the camp
Speaking on the occasion Dr Paras Khanna a renowned Onco Surgeon of Shankus Medicity
and the only Mch onco surgeon of Jammu has aware the students about the cervical cancer
and breast cancer . In his detailed presentation he has aware the student and staff about the pros and cones of both the cancers He has also guided the students how they can prevent these cancers by acting well in advance He has also told about the causes and symptoms of the disease and it’s preventive measures In all it was a very good presentation by Dr Paras . In the opening Dr Prof Pawan Bali nodal officer of the college while welcoming Dr Paras Khanna Onco Surgeon, President of RC Jammu Rtn Sunil kumar Sawheny and his team of Rotarians introduced the Doctor and rotary to the students and staff . Principal of college Dr Meeru ABROL speaking on the occasion appreciated the efforts of RC Jammu and Shankus Medicity for organising such a knowledgeable Program in the institute .Rtn Dr Gaurav Vaid also spoke on the occasion about the cervical and breast cancer In the closing remarks by Rtn Sunil Kumar Sawhney president of the club guided the students not to shy in disclosing if any such symptoms occurs with them or with their relatives. Instead they should discuss these types of matters with their mother, friends and other ladies in the family , by doing this they can contribute in early detection of such type of cancers so that it can be reversed at earlier stage. In last prof Anju Bala presented the vote of thanks Rtn deepak babu and Rtn prem Shanker was also present during the camp
