OFFICE OF THE PRINCIPAL GOVERNMENT DEGREE COLLEGE R. S. PURA JAMMU

Department of English, Govt. Degree College, R. S. Pura organised Poster Making Competition on the topic “ Mass Communication” under the worthy patronage of Principal Prof. Rajni Bhagat and supervision Dr. Neena Gupta Rohmetra, Head Department of English. The event was organised under the banner of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and G-20 presidency. Through poster making competition, students attempted to portray various channels of mass communication from early times to present era which include pigeons, letters, radio, television, social networking, billboards, newspapers, magazines, books, film and the internet and also tried to convey that in the modern era, mass communication is used to disperse information at an accelerated rate. Prof. Shifali Abrol and Prof. Sandeep Kumari were the judges in this programme. Jhanvi Majotra bagged Ist position, Chahat Choudhary 2 nd position and third position was secured by Agyawati and Sonali Saini. Principal of the college appreciated the efforts of the organizing committee and advised the students to participate more in such type of activities in future also. Dr. Kiran Pathania, Assistant Professor in Department of English coordinated the programme.
