Jammu, Jan 19:- Continuing his endeavour to provide more development amenities to the citizens of Jammu, the Mayor JMC Chander Mohan Gupta along with Sh. Kavinder Gupta Former Deputy chief Minister J&K and Sh. Rahul Kumar Councillor of ward no. 20 today kick started the renovation work at Justice Mehra Chand Mahajan Park situated at Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.
Speaking on the occasion Mayor said that an amount of Rs 11 Lacs has been sanctioned by the JMC for upgrading this park which includes white washing, laying of tiles, installation of proper electrical appliances in the park as well as other allied works which has been started today by the Engineering Section of JMC to whom strict directions have also been issued by the Mayor on spot to complete all the allotted works by applying best quality & durable materials and complete it within the stipulated time period,
While speaking on the occasion, Sh. Kavinder Gupta Former Deputy Chief Minister also threw light about the major reforms and work done for the people of J&K belonging to downtrodden families. He was the first Prime Minister of the state of Jammu and Kashmir during the reign of Maharaja Hari Singh and played a key role in the accession of the state to India during his period & also worked as third Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of India and this park was constructed in the memory of great legend
Sh. Vinay Gupta District President Jammu BJP, Sh. Neeraj (Lucky) Puri Gandhi Nagar Mandal President (Councillor of ward no. 54), Sh. Narinder Gupta , Sh. Rachit Khosla, Sh. Jugal Mahajan, Sh. Sandeep Gupta, Sh. Rohin Chandan, Sh. Rajesh Khullar, S. Satvir Singh, Sh. Ricky Gupta & other prominent inhabitants of Gandhi Nagar as well as Sh. Ashwani Mahajan Executive Engineer, Sh. Deep Kumar Sharma Assistant Executive Engineer, Sh. Danish Kotwal Jr. Engineer & other supervisory staff of Engineering Division-IV were remained present during the occasion.
Later, Mayor also organizes a weekly public darbar at BJP office Kachi Chawni Jammu alongwith Sh. Vinay Gupta District President Jammu BJP, Sh. Prem Gupta Sr. BJP Leader S. Chand Ji Bhat Displaced President Jammu and other prominent leaders. Officers of various sections of JMC were also remained present there. Citizens from various wards who attended the weekly public darbar put forth their issues regarding development works, rectification/ installation of street lights in the left over localities, renovation/beautification of parks, deployment of autos for door to door garbage collection as well as other issues related to JMC, Jal Shakti/ PDD Departments.
Mayor listened to their grievances with great patience and assured them that all the genuine matters will be resolved on priority basis and appeal to the general public to come forward and cooperate with JMC and other allied departments in all the development activities being under taken in various ward of Jammu city, adopt the habit of segregation of dry/wet waste, do not encroach public nallahas/drains, do not throw garbage and other waste in the open, do not use single use plastics so that the aim of Swachh Bharat Mission can be achieved successfully.
