Jia Lal verma, filed the nomination as independent candidate for DDC election from Ghagwal of district samba , he along with supporter and well-wishers reached RO office at BDO Block Ghagwal of District Samba. Jia Lal verma is in active politics from last 40 years starting as student leader From GDC Kathua and is a social worker. His wife is current Sarpanch of Ghagwal Panchayat.He is contesting as independent with larger vision of serving people not party lines.
