Today a press conference was held in the office chamber of Chairman, Social Justice Standing Committee Jammu Municipal Corporation under the Chairmanship of Sh. Jeet Kumar Angral Chairman, Social Justice Standing Committee along with Committee members Counsellor Smt. Tripta Devi, Counsellor Sh. Sham Lal, Counsellor Sh. Ajay Gupta, Counsellor, Sh. Kuldeep Singh and Counsellor Sh. Subash Sharma.
While addressing to the media Sh. Jeet Kumar Angral, Chairman said that the long pending demand of people of Jammu regarding pending pension cases has been fulfilled by the Government by approving 2707 pension cases in which 2253 Old age pension cases, 399 Widow pension cases and 55 Disability Pension cases has been approved with in the limit of Jammu Municipal Corporation.
The Chairman along with the Committee members expressed their gratitude towards Sh. Manoj Sinha, Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor UT Jammu & Kashmir, Sh. Farooq Khan, Advisor to Lieutenant Governor UT Jammu & Kashmir, Smt. Sumita Sethi, Director Social Welfare, Sh. Ajay Salan, District Officer, Jammu Social Welfare Department and Sh. Majeet Singh, Tehsildar, Jammu for listening to the long awaited demand of the people and providing them a relief in these though times.
The Chairman also said he met with Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor few days back and handed over a memorandum with demands of implementation of Basic Service Fund Head in Jammu Municipal Corporation, implementation of Linear Drainage System Project in Jammu City and providing of a separate colony for people belonging to SC & ST Community which are also pending and he hope that Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor will also fulfill these demands very soon as they are also crucial for the upliftment of the socially and economically weaker section of the society.
He also said that anybody who was left out and is having any issues, difficulties regarding their pension case his office door are open and he is always here to help them.
