Principal Secretary PDD & Information, Rohit Kansal held a press conference today in the auditorium of Directorate of Information, Media Complex, Rail Head Jammu. Talking to media persons, Kansal said, Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory Reorganization 5th order 2020 laws related to land laws have been changed, 11 laws have been repealed, 4 have been amended. The Principal Secretary said that some political parties said that the people of J&K had no right over the sale. There is a lack of clarity in the laws, for this, let us tell you that the new land laws in Jammu & Kashmir are mainly under Section 371, similar to the land laws in Himachal, Uttarakhand & other states. The rest of the rules have been applied here to protect the structure lead and there is a restriction in its purchase. The old laws were antithetical to other states of the country because they were old. Simple laws were needed. The Consul said 11 laws have been repealed.
