August 18, KATRA: Since the reopening of Shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi, the temple premises are being regularly sanitised. Keeping in view the safety guidelines to curb the spread of Covid-19 pandemic, people were seen wearing masks and undergoing thermal scanning at the entry points. Moreover, hand wash and hand sanitization facilities are provided at the entry points. Social distancing is being strictly followed and only a limited number of devotees were seen as there are restrictions placed on the number of people allowed to visit the shrine every day. The government has given detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and the pilgrims are requested to follow the guidelines for their own safety and the safety of others.
