Today a meeting of the office bearers of Surya Vihar Welfare Committee was held under the chairmanship of Mr. Sanjay Baru, Municipal Corporator Ward 41 and was presided over by Mr. Hansraj Manahas, President SVWC, to take note of the ongoing development work in the area and to take stock of prevalent issues in Surya Vihar,Borhi. The entire proceedings took place in a cordial atmosphere with a very vigilant sense of social distancing and sanitization.
Points which were highlighted in the meeting included Daily sweeping and cleaning of lanes by JMC, Installation of pending street lights and repair of damaged lights, Development of footpath from lane No. 1 to lane No.3 with canal abackment with repair of footpath at Lane no.5, Up gradation of transformers with equalized load distribution and electric cabling of area and replacement of damaged electric poles, Construction of Lane No.1 and repair of lane 0,2,3,5,12 and 20, Extension of water connection, connecting drains with sewer and black topping of lane 11, Raising culverts of Lane No.3,5,7,11 and laying tiles etc of lane No.5, Regularisation of water supply and to check incidents of chain snatching and drug menace in the area by regular police patrolling.
Later Mr. Baru had a tour of the area and visited Lane 1,3,5,7,11 in particular and discussed the issues with the residents to their satisfaction. Baru assured the committee members and the residents of an early resolution of the problems. He said that some developmnental works are already in tendering process and others will be carried out on priority in near future.
