July 27: On Sunday, PM Narender Modi while giving speech through Mann ki Baat, mentioned Balbeer Kaur, Sarpanch of Arnia Border containment areas and appreciated her for her work of turning houses into Quarantine centres for the welfare of people.

When asked Balvir Kaur, she expressed her happiness “Our PM Narender Modi takes notice of every single thing at grass-root level also. He has noticed my contribution and honoured me and that means a lot to me.”
She told that the work is in progress for making hygienic Quarantine centres. Even Water tanks has been placed at the entry and exit points of the area, when the pandemic started so as to ensure safety.
She also shared that she has spent most of her life in Chandigarh- Punjab, even completed her studies from there. Now she is living in Arnia’s border area as Sarpanch and fulfilling all her responsibilities with humbleness. Village people of Arnia also supports PM Narender Modi and hence act very cooperative with all the guidelines and policies to be followed.
SHO Harminder sir has helped a lot in conceiving the idea of turning Radha Swami House into Quarantine centre. We believe in “Hume bimar se nahi bimari se Nafrat krni hai”. All this happened because of true efforts and cooperation of everyone, she added.
