Jammu markets flooded with colourful kites for the approaching raksha bandhan festival

Chaitanya Sambyal || Jammu 20 July 2020 || The markets of Jammu are nowadays seen flooded with colourful kites of different shapes, sizes and colours for the upcoming occasion of Raksha bandhan, a festival that signifies the pure bond between a brother and a sister. Kite flying has a special significance in our Jammu city and neighbouring towns. People irrespective of their age, be it children or adults are seen indulged in kite flying on this auspicious day. During the lockdown, more people will be flying kites and most propably this year’s raksha bandhan will appear more colourful than usual.
